Bag Pack ("the App") is a school bag packing helper built for kids and parents. We take your family's privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what data the App handles and how.

            The short version: Your data stays on your device. We do not collect, track, or sell any personal information.
        

1. Information Stored on Your Device

All data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. This includes:

Profiles (child names)
Weekly timetable schedules
Pack items and checklists
School events and dates
App preferences

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the optional sync feature described below.

2. Google Drive Sync (Optional)

The App offers an optional sync feature that uses your Google account to back up data to your personal Google Drive. This feature:

Is entirely opt-in — it does nothing unless you sign in and enable it
Uses Google Sign-In to authenticate with your Google account
Stores your App data only in your own Google Drive (in an app-specific folder)
Accesses only files created by the App — it cannot read your other Drive files

When sync is enabled, we store a device identifier (device brand, model, and OS version) within the sync metadata to help manage multi-device sync. This information is stored in your personal Google Drive, not on our servers.

You can disconnect Google Drive sync at any time from the App settings.

3. Feedback & Bug Reports (User-Initiated)

If you choose to send feedback or report a bug through the App, an email is composed with:

Your feedback text (written by you)
App version number
Basic device information (brand, model, OS version) to help us diagnose issues

This email is sent through your own email app. We only receive it if you choose to send it.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases processed entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store any payment information. All billing is handled by Google Play according to their own privacy policy.

5. What We Do NOT Collect

The App does not:

Use any analytics or tracking services
Collect crash reports automatically
Access your camera, microphone, contacts, or location
Display advertisements
Share or sell data to any third party
Store any data on our servers

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services, only when you opt in:

Google Sign-In & Google Drive API — for optional cloud sync. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Play Billing — for in-app purchases. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for use by children with parental guidance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All data entered (such as profile names and school schedules) is stored locally on the device and is under the parent's control.

8. Your Rights

Since all data is stored on your device, you have full control:

Access & modify: All your data is visible and editable within the App
Delete: Remove individual profiles or uninstall the App to delete all data
Revoke sync: Disconnect Google Drive at any time from App settings

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
