Overview
Stock Tally ("the App") is an inventory and stock management application designed for individuals and small businesses. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the App uses, how it is stored, and your rights.
Data You Enter
The App allows you to create and manage:
- Products, stock items, and inventory records
- Stock vouchers and transaction entries
- Party (customer / supplier) names and contact details
- Unit conversions and conversion templates
- Stock take records and sales reports
All data you enter is stored locally on your device using Apple's CoreData framework. This data never leaves your device except through iCloud sync (see below) or CSV exports that you initiate yourself.
iCloud Sync
If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, the App may sync your data across your personal Apple devices using CloudKit — Apple's private cloud database service. Your data is stored in your own iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud data.
You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's Settings app under iCloud › [App Name].
Camera Access
The App requests access to your device camera solely to scan barcodes for product identification. Camera images are processed in real time on-device and are never stored, saved, or transmitted.
You can revoke camera permission at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera.
CSV Export
The App provides a CSV export feature that lets you export your stock and transaction data as spreadsheet files. Exported files are saved to locations you choose (Files app, AirDrop, email, etc.). We have no access to exported files, and their handling after export is entirely your responsibility.
Analytics & Tracking
Stock Tally does not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking technologies. We do not collect crash reports, usage metrics, or any telemetry data from your device.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share any of your data with third parties. Your inventory data, party information, and transaction records are yours alone.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained only for as long as the App is installed on your device. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud-synced data, delete the App on all your devices or manage your iCloud storage in Apple's Settings.
Children's Privacy
Stock Tally is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on our support page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
